Dr. Pradeep Kumar Verma founder of Verma Eye Hospital worked as Medical Officer in Sundergarh DHH. After that he was deputed to Rourkela General Hospital. He was also the First Doctor in Rourkela Lions Eye Hospital. He did fellowship in cornea transplant and he participated in various Training Program in All India Ophthalmology Conference.

He was one of first few people in Odisha who started implantation of Intra Ocular Lens after Cataract surgery since 1986.

He was the first Ophthalmologist in Western Odisha and Second in Entire Odisha who was doing Phacoemulsification Surgery since 2000.

In the year 2017 he was the President of Odisha Ophthalmic Society.

Dr Pradeep Kumar Verma vision is to eradicate blindness and make this world a beautiful place to those who are still in darkness. His mission is to provide tertiary eye care services to one and all, irrespective of any social or economic barriers . In 2020, he founded Bharat Health Foundation with several other philanthropists and doctors.

Initially it was a small hospital. Gradually it evolved into one of the best eye-care center in Western Odisha India.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Verma is loved and revered for his simplicity, diligence and brilliance in his profession. He was not only down-to-earth, tender, humble and kind, but also generously helped others. It was a pure testimony to his willpower and efforts that he pursued his dream and could build a hospital to overcome the almost insurmountable load of blindness in our country and provide best eye care at affordable prices.
